"The pictures of the cottage on Booking.com do not do it justice - this fisherman's cottage is beautiful! We were met by the hosts, Jean and Chantal, who were extremely helpful and charming. Everything had been well thought through and we were shown in detail how everything worked, where to recycle, even what they grow in the garden. Maison de Pecheur is really well positioned for easy access to the shops, bars and restaurants in La Chaume, which is stunning and full of history. The church is a must see, with stunning statues of the ancient Greek gods and biblical characters - that was a major highlight. Also within a short walk is the Passeur - a little passenger boat that takes you to the main busier town of Les Sables d'Olonne."

"This is difficult as we loved staying at Maison de Pecheur. Only criticism is with the kitchen facilities. For example, we could have done with some sharper knives in the kitchen, a few more dishwasher tablets and maybe oil for cooking."
